Backtagging: Yes, definitely. I have no problem tagging a thread regardless of age. If in doubt, just poke me about it.
Threadhopping: Dependent on the post, absolutely. Just let me know beforehand if you're unsure.
Fourthwalling: I don't imagine this is something that will come up often, but I don't mind vague references. Please don't bring up specific incidents or tell him he's a fictional character. If by chance, your character is familiar with Andrew Lincoln or any of his other roles, then commenting on his likeness is totally fair game.
Offensive subjects: The Walking Dead obviously does deal with a lot of heavy themes. There really isn't anything that offends or bothers me, but I do ask that you mark any triggering subjects for the sake of others reading.

Hugging this character: Rick is surprisingly affectionate with those he's close to, so a friendly arm around the shoulders isn't that farfetched. That said, if he doesn't know your character, don't expect him to be thrilled about it.
Kissing this character: Sure. If it's anything more than a kiss on the cheek, he will probably be incredibly uncomfortable.
Flirting with this character: Yes. He'll be good humoured about it, even if he's not particularly receptive. More likely, he will politely try to change the subject.
Shipping with this character: Let me preface this with the fact that Rick married one of the first girls he ever had a serious relationship with, and it took him some time to even begin coping with that loss. Regardless of the deteriorated state of their relationship upon her death, he continues to wear his wedding ring and is very hesitant to talk about her.
That said, I am open to both canon and cross-canon ships with him. It will definitely take some patience on the part of the other character, as his trust is hard earned even with platonic relationships. It's not the sort of connection that will be built quickly, so expect it to take time and development.

Injuring this character: I'm open to it, but I'd want to talk it over first.
Killing this character: Dependent on the situation. Again, this is something I'd want to discuss first.
